Westgold is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Information Technology Support Officer to join our Systems team. This role will be based at our conveniently located Head Office in the Perth CBD and is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the IT Support Supervisor, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working collaboratively, and supporting a broad range of internal stakeholders across the business.



About the Role

As an IT Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all IT‑related support across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our systems, troubleshooting issues, assisting with hardware and software setups, and supporting project rollouts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT support enquiries.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Assist users via phone, email, and face‑to‑face to resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, escalating to suppliers when needed.
  • Manage and prioritise Helpdesk tickets to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards for system and data security.
  • Monitor network and system performance and escalate issues accordingly.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, including new application rollouts.
  • Contribute to a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify solutions effectively.
  • Team‑oriented approach with a willingness to support colleagues across departments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple priorities.

Essential

  • Current C‑Class Driver’s Licence.

Desirable

  • IT‑specific certifications.
  • Working knowledge of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Exposure to Microsoft technologies including Microsoft/Office 365, Azure, and Active Directory.
  • Exposure to VMWare environments.
